Meet Your Instructor
Hi, I'm Rick Pecka! I'm a high school English Language Arts teacher in Connecticut with over a decade of classroom experience.
Since the rise of generative AI in 2022, I’ve been studying its impact on education closely. I’ve developed practical systems and classroom protocols to help students and teachers embrace AI in a way that’s responsible, effective, and aligned with strong ethical values.
Unlike most AI courses built for tech pros, this one is grounded in real classroom experience. I know what it’s like to juggle lesson plans, grading, and tech. This course is designed to be useful without being overwhelming.

Why this course?
Simply put, AI is not going away.
As many facets of our lives embrace AI, teachers need to understand how it works, where it can benefit them, and how it can be abused by students.
Many teachers need guidance. I created this course to help fellow educators feel confident—not overwhelmed—when using AI in their teaching. Whether you’re new to this tech or already experimenting with it, you’ll leave with clear strategies you can use tomorrow.
